Bank of Maldives announces Chairperson and Board Directors
Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the appointment of new Directors and the Chairperson to its Board of Directors.
Ahmed Ali Habeeb, Noovilaage, S. Hithadhoo, Ali Irufan, Daylight Villa, S. Maradhoo Feydhoo and Mohamed Shahid, Hulhumale’ Flat No: 90-2-02 were appointed as Board Directors at the Bank’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held earlier today. Following the meeting of the Bank’s Board held after the EGM, Ahmed Ali Habeeb was appointed as the Chairperson.
With these appointments, the directors nominated by the Government and appointed to the Board are:

- Mr. Ali Faris Mohamed, G. Sina Male 3, 35-04
- Mr. Adil Moosa, Fen’aaru, B. Eydhafushi

- Mr. Ali Irufan, Daylight Villa, S. Maradhoo Feydhoo
- Mr. Mohamed Shahid, Hulhumale’ Flat No: 90-2-02
The three directors elected by public shareholders are:
- Mr. Abdulla Naseem, Karankaa Villa, H.A. Filladhoo
- Mr. Moosa Rasheed, M. Gaseem, K. Male’
- Mr. Najeem Ibrahim Zakariyya, M. Dhaashin, K. Male’
