Three arrested for threatening two police officers with a knife

Three people have been arrested for threatening two police officers with a sharp object.

Maldives Police Service revealed that three men have been arrested for allegedly threatening two policemen with knives at around 10:00 pm last n ight. They are a 35-year-old man and two 39-year-olds.

Police said they had received complaints about how the arrest was made, and added that their Professional Standards were investigating the matter.

The case is being investigated further.
