MDP's Faresmaathoda candidate attacked en-route to parliament debate

MDP's candidate from Faresmathoda constituency, Ahmed Zaeem had black oil thrown at him while en-route to attend debate in the parliament.

In a post on X, MDP posted a series of photos of Ahmed Zaeem with black oil smeared on the left side of his shirt.

"MDP condemns this cowardly act," the party said in a statement.

In the past, members of opposition parties have been smeared with black oil as part of their political rivalry and the posters have been smeared with black oil as well.
