Five Directors of Bank of Maldives (BML) have been dismissed.
Head of Public Relations at BML, Mohamed Saeed told 'One' on Thursday night that the Bank received notice to dismiss 5 directors on Thursday.
The members dismissed are:
- Yooshau Saeed - Chairman
- Juwairiya Saeed
- Mohamed Sharaah
- Abdulla Hassan
- Aishath Sajunee
The members were appointed to BML Board during the previous Administration's tenure.
One was unable to get a comment from PCB regarding the dismissal.
Since the dismissal, 5 members remain on the BML Board now, including Karl Stumke, CEO and MD, Aishath Noordeen, Deputy CEO, Abdulla Naseem, Ibrahim Mohamed, and Ahmed Mohamed.
