President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has declared the day the President makes his Presidential Address to the Parliament a non-holiday.
He made the decision in accordance with Article 84 of the Republic of Maldives Constitution,
The President's Office issued a decree on Thursday declaring the day of the Presidential Address to be a non-holiday. This decree further indicated that the President's Office had repealed the previous decree No. 4/2019.
The Presidential Address will be delivered on February 5, 2023 at 0900hrs when the Parliament reconvenes.
The will be President Dr. Muizzu's first President Address since taking oath of office.
