Drugs being smuggled through courier intercepted by Customs

Maldives Customs Service has seized drugs being smuggled into the Maldives through courier.

Customs said on Monday that a parcel brought from the US through courier was searched on August 4 and cannabis were recovered.

According to customs officials, the weight of cannabis found in the parcel was 490 grams.

Customs has handed them over to the police for further investigation.
