Maldives Thirdway Democrats have revealed that their President, Ahmed Adeeb is currently seeking treatment for a life-threatening disease.
Adeeb was rushed into the ER of IGMH last night after rumors were afloat of him seeking permission to go seek medical treatment abroad.
In a tweet sent out on Thursday, MTD noted that Adeeb is being treated for a life-threatening disease related to nerves.
While Adeeb is currently seeking treatment for his eyes and spine, he was hospitalized and treated at IGMH in 2019.
Adeeb is serving a 20 year jail sentence after having been found guilty in the MMPRC Corruption Case. He had sought treatment in India while serving the sentence, and was later changed to house arrest.
