Former Minister of Home Affairs, Umar Naseer has launched his presidential campaign ahead of the 2023 Presidential Election.
He launched the campaign during a special event held at Sultan Park last night. During the event, Umar stated that the citizens had given the two biggest parties in the Maldives a chance, who had failed miserably to work for the benefit of the citizens.
He stated that his decision to run for the presidency comes from wanting to take everyone in a new direction.
Umar revealed that this direction will turn Maldives into a developed country by 2045.
He described his responsibilities in power as solving social and economic issues, diversifying the economy, and kickstarting long-term developmental projects.
