Criminal Court has ordered a 10-day remand for the man arrested for domestic violence and attacking a police officer in AA. Thoddoo.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) media official told 'One' on Friday that MPS had arrested a 37-year-old man for child abuse during a domestic dispute and attacking a police officer.
Criminal Court ordered a 10-day remand for the man.
MPS said on Thursday that the man had a court order issued against him to protect his wife. The man in question had been asked to leave the premises of the house, but refused and physically abused a child. MPS received reports of the incident around 0200hrs.
The man had then threatened and attacked the officers who went to the scene.
MPS is currently investigating the issue.
