President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Thursday constituted the R. Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital (URH) Board.
President Solih appointed members to the URH Board as follows:
- Mohamed Saamiu – Regional Financial Sector Representative
- Dr Hawwa Inaya Abdul Raheem – Independent Health Sector Expert
- Fathimath Nasheeda Mohamed – Representative of Ministry of Health
- Ali Ibrahim - Public Representative
- Adam Mahir - Hospital-In-Charge
- Moosa Umar Manik- Atoll Council Member
President Solih appointed Mohamed Saamiu as the Chairperson of URH's governing board.
President Solih also handed over the management of 14 regional health facilities in R Atoll to URH, effective 1 September 2022.
The current Administration is working on developing URH as a tertiary hospital.
