The Government of Maldives has announced MVR 1.2 billion in T-Bills to offset state expenditure.
Ministry of Finance and Treasury announced that the state will be selling T-Bills on Sunday, and that the payments for the T-Bills will have to be settled on Monday.
The subscriptions for T-Bills are:
- TBT28-2022-2908 - MVR 419mn, maturing on 29 August 2022 with 3.50% interest
- TBT98-2022-0711 - MVR 270mn, maturing on 7 November 2022 with 3.87% interest
- TBT182-2023-3001 - MVR 103.5mn, maturing on 30 January 2023 with 4.23% interest
- TBT364-2023-3107 - MVR 422.4mn, maturing on 31 July 2023 with 4.6% interest
Finance Ministry has requested interested parties to submit subscription forms to the ministry.
The state currently has MVR 62.5 billion in unpaid T-Bills.
