Man arrested for attempted assault on Jamaluddin School Principal

A man has been arrested for attempting to assault Jamaluddin School's principal.

Maldives Police Services (MPS) said that they received report of a man trying to assault principal Hassan Mohamed with a sharp object around 8:49am on Wednesday.

MPS has since arrested a 37-year-old man and Criminal Court has added 15 days to his remand.

MPS did not specify reasoning behind the attack or the object used by the assaulter.
