President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih met with the new President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday.
President Solih met with Sheikh Mohmammed during his visit to UAE to express his condolences and sympathies in person to the family of former president, Late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, President Solih expressed his sadness upon learning of Sheikh Khalifa's passing and asked to convey prayers and condolences to the late president's family and people of UAE.
He stated that the late Sheikh Khalifa would be remembered as a beacon of modernity and national unity.
President Solih also congratulated Sheikh Mohammed on his election as the new President of UAE and wished him success.
