Investigative team of terror attack tests positive for Covid, police says investigation unaffected

Officers from the investigative team of the terrorist attack against former President Mohamed Nasheed has tested positive for Covid-19.

Although Maldives Police Service did not officially confirm the news, they did not deny the reports either.

A Police Media Official said that the investigation into the terrorist attack is ongoing and that it has not been affected in any way.

During a press conference held previously, Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed said that over 400 police officers were working on the investigation.

A bomb blast on May 6th severely injured President Nasheed, leading him to have several life-saving surgeries at ADK Hospital. He is currently seeking further treatment in Germany.
