President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has participated in the flag hoisting ceremony on the occasion of the year’s National Day.
The special ceremony was held at the Republic Square at 6 a.m. this morning.
President Solih was greeted by the Minister of Defense, Mariya Ahmed Didi and Minister of Home Affairs, Imran Abdulla upon his arrival.
A special prayer was recited at the flag hoisting ceremony by the Imam of Masjid-al-Sultan Mohamed Thakurufaanu Al Auzam, Nasrulla Ali.
Vice President Faisal Naseem and other senior government officials also attended the ceremony along with President Solih,
