President visits Vilufushi for Unity Day function

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has arrived in Thaa Atoll Vilufushi this morning to take part in the National Unity Day function.

A number of events are planned on the island in connection to the Unity Day. The events began with a special flag raising ceremony.

While the official function of the day is set to take place at 2 p.m. today, the President has officially opened the Tsunami Monument on the island.

And a special children’s evening is set to take place later in the day.
