Large sum of money stolen from boat

A large sum of money stored away in a cupboard on board a vessel traveling from Male'City to Faafu Atoll Billehdhoo has been stolen.

Maldives Police Service said that the theft of MVR 450,000 from a vessel was reported yesterday.

While no arrests have been in connection with the theft, police are investigating further.
